Beatles' First Appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show The U.K. had already been enthralled with Beatlemania when the group made its U.S. debut appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, performing "All My Loving," "Till There Was You," "She Loves You" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" to an audience full of mostly screaming females. As they performed "Till There Was There," the names of the group members were superimposed over close-ups, including the famous "Sorry girls, he's married" over Lennon. The appearance marked their breakthrough to international stardom. 2. Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band The Beatles' 1967 album was part of the group's experimental phase and spawned such singles as the title track, "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" and "A Day in the Life." It was named one of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" by Rolling Stone in 2003. The Bee Gees -- Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb -- starred in a 1978 film musical of the same name that featured new versions of songs from the album as well as 1969's Abbey Road. "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" also was featured in the Beatle's Yellow Submarine movie. 3. "Imagine" After embarking on his solo career, Lennon had several hits, including this one, which endures today and is a staple on TV singing competitions like American Idol and The Voice. Lennon and Ono performed the song -- which in 2004 was ranked No. 3 on Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" -- together in Madison Square Garden in 1972. 4. "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" Lennon would became an anti-war activist, reflected in songs like "Give Peace a Chance," his first solo single, and the holiday-themed "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," which still gets lots of play every December. Actress Kirsten Dunst and Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal presented a tribute to Laura Ziskin. The late filmmaker and Stand Up To Cancer founder helped raise more than $180 million for research before succumbing to the disease in June. The Help author Kathryn Stockett and stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer saluted Hollywoods future female talents: 12 Los Angeles-area high school juniors who will be mentored by female entertainment executives for the next year. 'Bourne Legacy' Is 'Even Bigger' Than Previous Films, Promises Producer

Two weeks ago, "Bourne Legacy" star Jeremy Renner revealed a bit too much when he opened up to Empire about his upcoming role in the action reboot. He told the British movie magazine that his character's name is Aaron Cross and said "It's that same deal, it's just a new set of agents with a different leash." We spoke with Frank Marshall, one of the producers for the next 'Bourne' movie, at the NY premiere of "War Horse." The producer spoke briefly about what's different this time around and how Renner may have already given too much away. "Well, Jeremy's going to be in it, and Jeremy's already said too much about it, but I can tell you it really is the exact same world as all the other three 'Bourne's have been," Marshall said. Casting news had more or less confirmed as much, since both Joan Allen and Albert Finney are returning to reprise their roles from earlier in the series. Marshall said that Aaron Cross works nicely into the already existing world, but fans can expect some changes when the film hits theaters in August of next year. "We have a new character that Jeremy plays that fits right in. You're just seeing an expanded world from what we had before," Marshall said. Mindy McCready and Son Found in Arkansas

Mindy McCready Country singer Mindy McCready and her 5-year-old son, Zander, were found by police Friday night after going missing for three days, CNN reports.Mother and son were found in a home in Heber Springs, Ark., believed to belong to McCready's boyfriend, and Zander appeared to be in "good condition," David Rahbany, the chief deputy U.S. Marshal in eastern Arkansas, said.Mindy McCready won't return her son to Florida despite judge's orderThough a judge had issued an order for McCready, 36, to return her son earlier this week to Florida or she would be subject to arrest, she has not been charged with any crime, and Rahbany said it is unclear whether she would face any charges.McCready, who is seven months pregnant with twins, does not have custody of the child and reportedly took Zander from her parents' home on Tuesday.
